Requirements for being to apply for the manifestation of interest
Dependent worker:
- Have a NIF (Portuguese Taxpayer Number)
- Have a NISS (Portuguese Social Security Number)
- Possess an active employment contract or a valid promise of employment, or have a verifiable work relationship confirmed by a labor union, a representative of migrant communities with a seat on the Council for Migrations, or the Authority for Working Conditions.
- Have entered the national territory legally.
- Be registered with the social security system, unless the document provided is a valid promise of employment.
Independent work or entrepreneur:
- Have a NIF (Portuguese Taxpayer Number)
- Have a NISS (Portuguese Social Security Number)
- Have established a company in accordance with the law, declared the commencement of activities to the tax and social security authorities as an individual person, or entered into a service contract for the exercise of a liberal profession.
- Be qualified to practice an independent professional activity, where applicable.
- Have sufficient means of subsistence.
- When required, provide a declaration from the respective professional association stating that you meet the registration requirements.
